- "I have found after traveling around that this state brings warm people and wonderful four seasons of recreation. Whether you want to ski, swim, read by a fire, hike, boat, climb mountains, or just drive and find the secrets of Maine it's all here. How many light houses are there? Selling here in Maine to those who want more of the good things is a joy." - Susan Paige
- "In Maine you get twice the house for half the money. In Maine you can live five minutes from your place of business and still see wildlife in your back yard. In Maine, the middle class can own a piece of waterfront property. In Maine, you can enjoy Boston from a comfortable distance. In Maine, you can tromp through a muddy woods trail during the day and go to the theater or a concert that evening. In Maine, you can do business on a golf course, a snowmobile trail, a lake or stream, or in a duck blind. In Maine, you can eat a lobster in your cut offs and a T-shirt. In Maine, our water slides are made of granite and slate. In Maine, you can have it all!" - Steven Mogul
- “Maine is one of those places that just feels like home no matter where you are from." - Michael Picher
- "Having a real home and a good life in Maine doesn't keep me from reaching out far beyond our borders for business and artistic connections." - Arthur Fink
- "Friendlier people, 4th lowest crime state, 4 season beauty in our back yard and a real sense of community. A bean supper (pronouced suppahhh in parts of "Vacationland") and a local sporting event and you know this place is unique. Hardworking locals that will do anything to help. Work ethic is here. For example, Smith and Wesson has a plant in Houlton Maine. They have about 115 employees. Springfield MA the mother location has around 600 employees. The Houlton plant does half the work or output of the total for two plants. People take pride in their work, and it is not about the money... they want to live here and are happy to work for a little less. Respect for others, pride of ownership, family based values the country needs to get back to. There are less foreclosures because of better banking and folks living within their means I hope Washington is listening.
- Let folks know our kids have high SATS and hold their own with any ivy league school or how great the University of Maine system is, etc. Maine has been a secret too long." - Andrew Mooers
- "We share many of the same strengths inlcuding historically strong education instututions, close proximity to major markets and business centers (Boston, New York, Montreal, DC), close proximity to major technology innovation centers and close proximity to significant natural resources. I find too often that we think of Maine as an isolated area completed defined by state geographic boundaries... Businesses operate without borders." - Jim Damicis
- "I believe the sign posted at the border of Maine says it all "It's the way life should be". Maine is laid back, but it's not so laid back that we have lost sight of reality." - Deb Leonard
